“Reckless use of AI” in setting and translating examination papers, followed by an unexplained six-week delay in cancelling three flawed tests, is at the heart of the UGC-NET controversy that has forced the National Testing Agency to order fresh examinations in English, Commerce and Sociology. NTA however denied that generative AI was used to author the disputed papers.
A second disclosure concerns NTA’s response after the discrepancies surfaced. Education ministry officials and NTA sources said the ministry favoured cancelling the papers and retesting by July-end or the first week of August. NTA, however, did not act on that advice, waiting nearly six weeks and announcing the cancellations only when it released provisional answer keys for 84 of 87 subjects.

If you think you have had enough @NTA_Exams , you are mistaken. An exam conducted in June will have 3 of its papers re-conducted. There were complaints and it took them 7 weeks to conclude that students were right. Students will travel again, take the test again. Of course, don’t blame NTA!!

The most satisfying things of the last few weeks has been the young students of government schools raising voices and protesting for something which is their fundamental right -- The Right To Education.

आदित्य गोरडे व स्मिता सिद ह्या दोघांनी अत्यंत उपरोधिकपणे आणि हुशारीने प्रशासनाचे लक्ष वेधले. लहान वयात मुलांमध्ये असलेली ही सामाजिक जाणीव मोठी आहे. त्याबद्दल त्यांचा गौरव केला.

ह्यावेळी रस्त्याची पाहणी करून रस्त्यावरील खड्डे लवकरात लवकर बुजवले जातील व शाळेला आवश्यक सोयी-सुविधा मिळाव्या; ह्यासाठी आम्ही प्रयत्नशील राहू, असे सांगितले.
