@AngloRoam@PalmyrPar Bro is a political phenomenon and almost every guy under 35 I know has at least heard of Nick. He is one of the biggest drivers of discourse on the contemporary right wing, and your complaint is he wasn't a brick layer or cleaning toilets somewhere? Lol. You're not even American
It wasnโt.
With rare exception, colonies were unprofitable, meaning more was spent building infrastructure like roads, railways, buildings, etc. than was exported.
And look at places like Singapore and Hong Kong. Both were colonies for a long time and yet they are extremely prosperous.
@JSanTJD@LegatusMatth_us@TheeDrGroyper The Catholic Church exists in contemporary times and is the largest sect of Christianity. There is no comparison. As for the Roman thing, thats a bit. Nick does a talk show, and entertainment is a factor. You're either being disingenuous or going off of what others say.
@JSanTJD@LegatusMatth_us@TheeDrGroyper Yeah, you are larping. National Socialism ia a dead European ideology from a very particular people during a very particular time in human history. Love it or hate it, it's not coming back, especially here in America.
@DeanWinche9osj@Jimbo_J_@84_wintermute 75%-80% of US construction workers are overweight compared to 70%-75% of UK construction workers.
Construction jobs are mostly pretty easy and do not require a lot of strength or stamina. What sucks is they usually don't pay much and you're working in shit conditions.
@LetsCookg3b0@MrTeaThyme@Jimbo_J_@84_wintermute That's not the point in his post I was refuting, although I could certainly build a case around many bodybuilders with no training background, having more punching power potential than a lot of UFC fighters.
@LetsCookg3b0@MrTeaThyme@Jimbo_J_@84_wintermute Okay, and? My original comment was to someone claiming MMA fighters are stronger in some areas than people who lift weights every day, and specifically focus on muscle size and strength.
Strength and muscle is not their top priority.
@LetsCookg3b0@MrTeaThyme@Jimbo_J_@84_wintermute Punching power does not tell you much. There's a lot of people with KO power who have never stepped foot in a gym.
Punching power is mostly technique, anyway. If a 200lb+ bodybuilder learns how to punch, they will be dropping bombs.
@DeanWinche9osj@Jimbo_J_@84_wintermute There is no gym strong, only strong, and people who dedicate years of their life just to lifting heavy objects, are strong.
@MrTeaThyme@Jimbo_J_@84_wintermute This is completely false. A bodybuilder benching 405lbs and squatting 585lbs is stronger than the vast majority of heavyweight UFC fighters. That's okay, since fighting relies more on stamina and technique than sheer strength.
