@trappintotradin@dallaskaydenn@GlamazonJay This is actually a rare time when "it's giving" is grammatically correct traditionally as well as colloquially so you're just whining about proper grammar.

@whoislukas0 @itsvickivoss @nayjzagotstupid@Tsurai233942 @wug4zi_ Rac·ism
prejudice, *discrimination*, or antagonism by an individual... against a person or people on the basis of their membership in a particular racial or ethnic group...
It's right there in the definition.
@whoislukas0 @itsvickivoss @nayjzagotstupid@Tsurai233942 @wug4zi_ prej·u·dice
preconceived opinion that is not based on reason or actual experience.
dis·crim·i·na·tion
the unjust or prejudicial treatment of different categories of people, especially on the grounds of ethnicity, age, sex, or disability.
@whoislukas0 @itsvickivoss @nayjzagotstupid@Tsurai233942 @wug4zi_ This is why I said we're not gonna agree on this. Systemic Racism is systemic. Interpersonal Racism isn't. Prejudice/discrimination based on race is racism, system or not.
@itsvickivoss @whoislukas0 @nayjzagotstupid@Tsurai233942 @wug4zi_ I never argued that there weren't different forms, in fact, in that tweet I even said systemic racism does exist. All I am saying is racism isn't SOLELY systemic so really, we agree.
@whoislukas0 @nayjzagotstupid@Tsurai233942 @itsvickivoss @wug4zi_ I'm an Afro-Latino. I don't benefit from systemic racism (quite the opposite really) I just think definitions matter.
@whoislukas0 @nayjzagotstupid@Tsurai233942 @itsvickivoss @wug4zi_ I doubt we'll see eye to eye on this.
Racism, by definition, can be on the individual level ("by an individual...") Systemic Racism is its own (real) thing but racism isn't inherently systemic.
@whoislukas0 @Tsurai233942 @itsvickivoss @wug4zi_ Obviously, the words are intentional. Hence why every definition of racism includes the word "typically" because anyone can be a victim of racism or be racist but minorities have a higher likelihood of being victims.
@nayjzagotstupid @whoislukas0 @Tsurai233942 @itsvickivoss @wug4zi_ Yes, typically.
Meaning by definition anyone can be a victim of racism or be racist. Minorities are just victims of racism more often.
