This is the portable Android Tablet developed by Bharat Electronics in 2010 for 2011 Census. There were around 6.5 lakh such devices deployed to conduct the census of India.

Census of India used to happen every decade since 1872, 1881, 1891 until 2011. There were 15 census happened so far including British India. We never skipped a census despite world wars, Bangladesh War, poverty, lack of resources and so on.

This is the first time in 150 years of Indian history a census has been skipped and delayed for 3 years. Government is not giving any credible reason for skipping the Census. What are they trying to hide or manipulate? Any guesses?
