Why Radiant CHANGES EVERYTHING:

“Ultimately, Radiant is Bitcoin that solves the back to genesis problem. In a similar way to how Bitcoin solved the Byzantine generals problem, Radiant could become a huge deal because it solves a long standing problem in cryptocurrency.

The back to genesis problem is that on Bitcoin you can’t create tokens without needing a trusted 3rd party to issue it because you can’t trace the tokens origin once it has been transacted many times I.e. verify the token is real and not fraudulent…. One of problems with using a 3rd party is that the transactions they need to verify get infinitely more complex as the tokens are traded, so it limits what you can do with tokens, as well as needing permission from them to issue the token.

Atoshi… the guy who created Radiant, realized that you could use “induction proofs” in order to trace a tokens transaction history back to its genesis and verify that it’s real, without using a 3rd party.

Bitcoin was peer to peer electronic cash because you no longer needed a bank, and Radiant is peer to peer electronic tokens because you don’t need an issuer of the tokens anymore. They can be created on the blockchain without permission from anyone.

This could have wide ranging applications from currency issues on top of Radiant, ownership titles, stocks, tickets, etc. Anything can be issued and traded on the blockchain, really.
