Boston University’s CTE Center has released the largest study to date on neurological diseases contracted by hockey players.
The landmark study was funded by groups including World Wrestling Entertainment and the National Football League.
The NHL’s absence on a list of those who financially supported the study brings to mind the words of an NHL lawyer, who wrote this email to their colleagues in 2009: “I’d rather focus on the here and now and leave the dementia issues up to the NFL!”
