About 10 years ago we started doing measurements about the extent to which IPv6 Extension Headers are usable on the public Internet (e.g., see: https://t.co/Uv6C5ogWea)
Security implications of IPv6 extension headers -- "Seguridad IPv6", presentation by @FernandoGont at the Spanish IPv6 Council (in Spanish). Slides available at: https://t.co/lrPbkI5iwd
IETF RFC 8981: "Temporary Address Extensions for Stateless Address Autoconfiguration in IPv6" https://t.co/YC7yQ5SPfr -- if you have never read it, this is probably a good time to do so, since it has already become mainstream.
IETF Internet-Draft draft-ietf-v6ops-ipv6-deployment-05: "There are some concerns in terms of the security but, on the other hand, IPv6 offers increased efficiency." (https://t.co/kjFNHDjsS7)
@Enno_Insinuator@FernandoGont Actually... several of the functionalities of NMAP are based, on a certain degree, on @FernandoGont 's work. That is because his work was a big inspiration at the time I helped to write the NSE scripts.
This bring me some memories from that time.
