I’m doing a Normandy tour next year following the fortunes of the Sherwood Rangers from D-Day to the end of the campaign. An entire new tour! Should be a blast. In case anyone is interested… https://t.co/uXD6FycF2v @WeHaveWaysPod
@WW2TV Just missing some Merguez! Lovely area. Remember that resistance memorial being very chilling seeing it as a kid. But loved it over to Villard and Meaudre
D-Day and Battle of Normandy, 6th June 1944. The very marvellous @James1940 at #PegasusBridge Bénouville, Normandy, taken in a coup-de-main by D Company, 2nd (Airborne) Battalion, Ox and Bucks Light Infantry; On battlefield tour with @tstours@WeHaveWaysPod

The recent @WeAreTripsmiths tour of WW2 Malta with James Holland will take some beating. But, we are both going to give it a go as we head for Sicily and an equally exciting tour of the Op Husky battlefields. https://t.co/pH5Iampty1
We were privileged to visit Malta's old Royal Naval Hospital today. Still very much a work in progress, the refurbishment is progressing well. We spent some time discussing the fortresse's role as the Nurse of the Mediterranean.
Tracking a dramatic course today - following an ill-fated flotilla of Italian 'Barchino' MTBs as they attempted to raid Malta's Grand Harbour on 26 July 1941. It was a costly mission that the Italians paid an extremely heavy price for.
There has to always be an element of Op Husky in a WW2 battlefield tour - today was no exception at Lascaris War Rooms. Some extensive Sicily exhibits are being constructed for the summer. Even a Glider Pilot Regt exhibit.
Fortress Malta - the story told in epic style by @James1940 to our international group from @WeAreTripsmiths
Quite a few @WeHaveWaysPod members, too. What a backdrop for the Malta story to be told against.
Why does my really poor joke about someone having found tomatoes somehow have 24 likes from bots and despite only having been seen 10 times. Twitter is genuinely fucked
