July is #disabilityawareness month and we take this chance to introduce ourselves and our work! We are a research group at @UniLUT and we study the #Sustainability, #Inclusivity and #Accessibility (SIA) of technology, starting with #games.

Not only do we research game accessibility, but we have active research and projects under planning that investigate #inclusion in #VR, #sustainable #gamification, #gamification in education, gaming of older individuals, gaming for health, #storification and much more!

Working with us all the way from Japan is Specially Appointed Associate Professor @MiikkaLehtonen, Rikkyo University College of Business, Japan, looking into diversity in the game industry and managerial practices in game studios.

In our first research project funded by @liikesivistys, we work with people with disabilities as well as game developers to create knowledge on how to advance #gameaccessibility. Our goal is to figure out new ways to overcome barriers to wide implementation of #game_accessibility
