Si Alton

I play music, write stuff, watch football, drink wine, love my family and dog. Not necessarily always in that order.

@DRobertson_Star First count in years I’ve not attended so I’m following your updates with interest!

[Si Alton @SiAltonWrites]

Thinking of getting to the CG early on Wed so my kids can get a glimpse of the players arriving. Is that still possible? Anyone know what time the players usually arrive? Cheers guys! #nffc

@MattDaviesAdams @bignorms Looks a nice solid start that. No Awoniyi though…?

@TootSweetsShrew If you scroll down to the ‘Strategic Interventions’ bit you can click into each section and answer questions as you go. It’s very detailed but lots of interesting info!

What is Shrewsbury Moves?

BBC West Midlands visited Shrewsbury yesterday to learn more about our proposals to improve movement around our town centre.

Have your say before 22 March to help us develop a town centre that works for everyone.

@redsidetrent We need patience and positivity to help the team make the transition into top-half challengers. Last night was a necessary experiment and we will get better as Coops decides his best XI. That front 4 will strike fear into most defences and once they click it’s gonna be fun!

[Si Alton @SiAltonWrites]

@DickyHealey @NFFC I feel like a proud dad! Just hope he goes on and does well at Spurs. And if not, we’ll have him back on loan whenever you’re ready 😛

There’s something in my eye…

[Si Alton @SiAltonWrites]

Most disappointing thing for me was half the crowd standing up to leave the second their goal went in. Where was the famous City Ground backing? If we had roared them on for those final 10 mins we might just have nicked an equaliser. Instead it was all a bit drab. #nffc

[Si Alton @SiAltonWrites]

Strange game last night. Felt like a pre-season friendly and certainly no need to panic but no denying we were poor. Too slow to move the ball forward, due to unfamiliar midfield trio and an apparent reluctance to go wide for some reason. 1/2

Just got tickets for me and the boys to the Burnley league cup game for a total of £20. Fair play to Forest, they may have raised prices for the PL but that’s a bargain! #nffc

We’re giving away 2x 23/24 3rd shirts to two lucky supporters. To enter, simply retweet this tweet, and make sure you’re following us. The competition ends on Saturday and winners will be contacted directly. Good luck! 🌳 #NFFC

@secondtierpod What a player! Still the only name I ever had on a Forest shirt and people still say “who’s Majewski?”. I then show them this goal and they understand.

[Si Alton @SiAltonWrites]

@BurrowsAbout I think it’s an interesting one! A young, hungry coach… could be a very shrewd appointment. Or a disaster. Only time will tell!

[Si Alton @SiAltonWrites]

Oh yes we work hard at @shrewsburyfolk ….

[Shrewsbury Folk Festival @shrewsburyfolk]

Cheers to the weekend! 11 weeks to go 'til we're doing this for real @shrewsburyfolk.
