Alex Scott is THE woman I wish I'd seen growing up - she needs to be EVERYWHERE after this tournament. I want a BBC series with her and Wrighty. I don't care what it's on - it can literally be just a live stream of them drinking lattes from Jill Scott's cafe.
@Metro_Ents but it's also what the public are seeing and thinking is acceptable in a relationship? If it's not called out, people might think that is normal behaviour and women are at risk enough as it is
Love this. I was diagnosed at 32 after years of mental health struggles, particularly in times of pressure and stress - education milestones, starting new jobs or new relationships are all triggers. I am learning to cope, but it's not easy and the support isn't funded properly.
🧠 I was diagnosed with attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD) at 37.
This is what I wish I'd known then about being neurodiverse. ⬇️

'HE WORE HER DOWN.' Really @MetroUK ? is exhausting women into compliance the message you want to be putting out there? (also I'm sure this wasn't the case for these two, so poor representation all round)
‘Alexandra was extremely reluctant to date another footballer but Darren is the sweetest, most down-to-earth guy — and incredibly charming. He wore her down.’
@KTLGoldfinch@touretteshero I do find Gabor Mate quite helpful, although his links to ADHD and addiction are quite male focussed, I think. I’ve found it really hard to find recourses that help me and I was diagnosed at 32, just before lockdown! Kings college are also publishing some interesting work x
This. Also I wrote to Gove months ago citing how rape victims were living in unsafe unregulated housing along with men where they are exploited and terrified. He hasn't replied so you get the gist of how much they care about victims of sexual violence.
My mum, a local govt. children’s services worker - who works full time and then some (on call for vulnerable families) can’t afford to live on her salary. After rent and bills she can’t even break even. THIS is how people get trapped in poverty.
@itsginajones Absolutely. I’m offended by the whole Diwali episode. Carrie not knowing what Diwali is despite living in one of the most multicultural cities in the world. Then explaining it! This shouldn’t be a lesson in everything non white-cis-mainstream, their core audience isn’t stupid
