It has nothing to do with the American revolution other than some minor back story into why the British fell out of favor in Washington's eyes as a youth. It's more about the start of the French & Indian war. Did some reading after, it ended up being fairly historically accurate (obviously dramatized battle and flare though, which I was fine with). Various real quotes from journals of various leaders of the time
