He/Him, 31 year old future history teacher and lover of giant robots used as tools for anti-war messages. “The old generation can’t build the new era.” 💙💜🩷
We’re witnessing the bigots try to walk back the damage and destruction of this country that they’ve caused with their votes in real time and I really hope y’all don’t fall for the “I’ve changed and see the error of my ways” bullshit
Speaking as a queer Palestinian, there is nothing killing more queer Palestinians than Israeli military missiles. So if you care about them, perhaps that's where you would focus your attention.
If the Democrats ever regain power, they need to cut the “healing the country” crap and amputate the gangrenous limb that is the GOP. Otherwise, we will end up right back where we started, with no accountability for treason, sedition, crimes against humanity, war crimes, etc.
If you’re a Trump supporter, your last excusable off-ramp was Jan 6th, 2021
If you’ve stuck around this long, you’re still responsible for what’s happening now and no amount of newly found regret is gonna change that
This is your world now and you’re gonna have to deal with it
The press have basically decided not to cover anything important anymore. They’ve tapped out. They’ve stopped covering corruption in a sustained way. They no longer care about age & fitness. Even “economy bad” coverage is not as vigorous as it was under Biden, despite worse inflation data. They are as useless as Congress itself.
It's really annoying how every few years the entire country is like "hmm, maybe Republican leadership would be better. Oh, no, no they're not." Like can't y'all just learn and remember instead of dragging us through this shit?
A blue wave will not happen unless you personally make it happen. Do not trust the polls. Do not believe other people will do it for you. Go vote and encourage everyone you know to do the same.
Optimus Prime, Lilo and Yoda’s voices deserved to be remembered too ❤️
The Emmys honored many beloved names this year, but for cartoon/anime fans, three missing voices were impossible not to notice.
Daveigh Chase gave a generation the fearless, funny voice of Lilo in Lilo & Stitch and brought extraordinary emotion to Chihiro in the English version of Spirited Away. Her performances became part of two animated classics that millions still revisit today. She was among the notable names omitted from the televised In Memoriam segment.
Peter Cullen didn’t simply voice Optimus Prime. For more than four decades, his deep, compassionate delivery became the sound of leadership itself. He also brought warmth to Eeyore and countless other characters, eventually receiving a Children’s & Family Emmy Lifetime Achievement Award for a career that shaped generations. His absence from the broadcast was also noticed by fans.
And Tom Kane became one of animation’s great utility voices: Yoda, Professor Utonium, Admiral Yularen, the unforgettable narrator of The Clone Wars, and many more. His work stretched across cartoons, games, films and some of the biggest franchises in entertainment. Reports also noted that he was left out of the televised tribute.
The Emmys only have a few minutes to represent an entire year of loss, but that limitation doesn’t make these absences feel smaller.
They may not have appeared on the screen during the tribute, but their voices already live permanently inside the characters we grew up with. ❤️🕊️
@TVMovieAddict@katiewr31413491 That was Richie Pecorella who was looking for his wife, Karen and yes he finally found her in the picture of her jumping. Richie passed away in 2016 so at least he and Karen are back together. Here’s a video from StoryCorps of him talking about Karen. https://t.co/GoW7r0ikjZ
I don’t want to hear fake tributes to Dolly Parton from fascist republicans, I’ll never forget them defunding her Imagination Library childhood reading program earlier this year. Spare us the bullshit, we see you.
