Not always nuanced… When you realise the level of BS in geopolitics…..economics….history….with a bit of fun thrown in!… oh conspiracy realist,…sorry theorists!
@gig_itty_gig@PrisonPlanet@getstuffedtwit Then we’re largely in agreement. My question is why such definitive statements are being made so early. It’s hardly surprising people ask more questions when the language sounds more conclusive than the investigation itself.
@baldielovesbeer@NoelWilmur82@PatrickChristys My English is fine; your comprehension isn’t. I understand exactly what “no evidence to suggest” means. My point is that they made that statement before they’d had sufficient time to gather evidence. You’re repeatedly correcting an argument I never made.
Breaking News🇬🇧⚡️: "This is British Police at their BEST". Devon and Cornwall Police Chief Constable James Vaughan.
This was the summary yesterday from Devon & Cornwall Police Chief Constable James Vaughan and his own boastful assessment of his squads performance over the murder investigation of Reform politician Ann Widdecombe.
For the past 3 days James and his team have reported that the both suspects were separately not thought to be terrorists or be politically motivated.
Today he was relieved of his lead on the case, replaced by the Home Secretary Shabana Mahmood and control given over to the Anti-Terrorism Police.
@baldielovesbeer@NoelWilmur82@PatrickChristys It’s odd accusing me of pretending to know the evidence when my entire point is that nobody could have known it at that stage. Common sense isn’t always common!
@NoelWilmur82@PatrickChristys 💯 this is the thing I couldn’t get and they simultaneously ask people to stop speculating.. when they’ve done just that! Unless they knew who did it before and obviously that’s not possible…
@gig_itty_gig@PrisonPlanet@getstuffedtwit Then we agree. Protecting an investigation doesn’t require the public to stop asking questions. If it did, many miscarriages of justice would never have been exposed.
@gig_itty_gig@PrisonPlanet@getstuffedtwit That’s a non sequitur. Some people having social media meltdowns doesn’t mean everyone else loses the right to ask legitimate questions. Irresponsible speculation and reasonable scrutiny aren’t the same thing.
@gig_itty_gig@PrisonPlanet@getstuffedtwit You’re answering a different question. I know the police won’t disclose everything before a charge. That doesn’t mean the public loses the right to question, scrutinise or challenge what’s being presented. Asking questions ≠ demanding privileged information.
@MarkHaydock5@ABridgen Do you know how idiotic you sound? Most of the most famous, informative and well researched books, lectures and films are on YouTube! What are you 90?!
@gig_itty_gig@PrisonPlanet@getstuffedtwit Blind deference to authority has never been a substitute for critical thinking. Due process exists to establish the facts, but it doesn’t require the public to stop asking legitimate questions or accept an official narrative uncritically until then. They’re not mutually exclusive
@JimFergusonUK How irresponsible to say something so definitive without time for even the basic of investigation only to have to circle back! Optics is bad in more ways than one!!
