@kgauzi@AndreBothmaTax All banks and companies have good and bad advisers every single one. It is usually not the main brands fault. But the trick is to find the good ones working under the brands...
@insane4nc@AndreBothmaTax People want to avoid risk and think interest income is "safe" and they sometimes don't want to deal with an adviser thinking their money will be tied up or they will be getting the wrong advice.
I can't go into too much detail here, a LISP investment with right choice of funds
@NoniiLoveChild@AndreBothmaTax No, for example, this happens with dividends where a 20% withholding tax is taken on unit trust funds. On living annuities eg, a PAYE tax deduction gets made. Interest income becomes your own problem. Hope that helps
@IM_TheGreatIAm @AndreBothmaTax Depending on the tax bracket. The client likely is already in a 45% tax bracket with his normal income. Interest income gets added to the income he already earns. (Slightly more complicated as there is an annual allowance for interest, R23800 under age 65)
