@saburuzero I mean... Rudeus going there and saving Roxy is the one reason Orsted is supposed to be able to reach Hitogami, so it makes sense he tried to avoid it
@AstaonX12 Thanks, I am at the point that I am pretty sure someone will say she is a woman in a misogynist book so she will lose...
Thanks for explaining it while having a re:zero profile...
@Rdname2Rdname@anneth_arc correction, they try to ignore it because he is from one of the male targeted anime with the biggest female viewership split.
most of it is trying to show how absurd people are scrutonising mt while ignoring the same things hidden in other media.
For exemple slavery and sexual crimes, Tengen kidnap Aoi(14) to sell her into sexual slavery to act as his informant (for the mission), saying to her that she has no right to refuse any of his orders.
'Rudeus married his cousin', one of Tengen's wife is his cousin,
'Rudeus groomed them', They were wed to Tengen under duress with explicitely said that 2 didn't knew him and the third that liked him was 11 and wasn't even supposed to marrying him she toke the place of her sister that didn't like him. Regardless of Tengen the girls were wed to an older male that had a position of authority over them and couldn't refuse. Each of the girls that married Rudues did it while loving him already.
'Tengen love his wife, Rudeus doesn't' Only one of Tengen's wife liked him before the weddings and he did not like them ; Rudeus literaly goes to fight alone against the strongest of the world when he is given the intel that it is the only way to save his family, knowing he will most likely die
Tengen is clearly written to be accepted while ignoring the issues(extremely creepy start and continued view on authority but genuine love later, most people will tell you that the girls loved him from the start or that he maried to save them), Rudeus is clearly written as a pos that try to get better but relapse.
For what matter I also think that the group of 'Rudeus did nothing wrong' is as stupid as the group that use extrem scrutony on him and not any on their media characters.
@AstaonX12 well this was before she trained against water god style, so maybe he had a chance, by the end of the episode Paul had no chances even when he was at his best
proceed to kidnap a 14yo and a child looking girl to sell into sexual slavery while telling them they are his subordinate and have no right to refuse any of his orders, to find his 3 wifes, wed while he had authority over them and under penalty of death, 2 that didn't like him and one that at 11yo toke the place of her sister that didn't like him.
People really didn't read every time Tengen was on the page or screen.
Tengen force wed 3 girls he had authority over and didn't like him and were under penalty of death for refusing, a 11yo crashed her sister's wedding to take her place because she liked the 15yo clan leader.
There is nothing more patriarchal and grooming than Tengen weddings
Tengen is a 23yo pdf that like to sell kids into sexual slavery while telling them that they can't refuse his orders as subordinate.
As a clan leader he wed 3 girls one of 11, that were his subordinates and were under penalty of death if they refused. The 3 girls he was supposed to wed didn't like him, the 11yo girl toke the place of her sister because as a 11yo she liked him 15yo. Along with the rule to become clan leader(when he did not have the authority yet), the wedding rule is the only rule of the clan he didn't broke before leaving it with his wifes.
Wedding younger pre-pubescent girls over who you have authority is textbook grooming.
I read it while it was running and again after season 3 thank you. Killing his brother was to be clan leader, he did not have authority then. Then he did the 3 wedding to 3 girls he didn't knew (2 of his wifes and one was supposed to be the sister of the 3rd, but the 3rd took her place because she liked him and her sister didn't) he had the authority at that point and could have broke the rule, like he broke every rule afterward leading to him and his wife fleeing the clan.
If you want more proof when he kidnap Aoi he state to her that as his subbordinate she has no right to refuse his order, which is the exact position her wifes were in at the weddings.
