@2ray_degenemax It's especially bad when they wait for the transmission to have issues... The best way to prevent this compounding damage is to change the fluid early in the car's life! And never "flush" with pressurized chemicals since it can detach the friction material from the clutches!
@2ray_degenemax So, when you change the fluid on an old transmission, the damage is no longer hidden by the grit mixed with the fluid, and it appears to slip, so people don't understand and say that "changing the fluid on a transmission damages it!"
@2ray_degenemax If it's an automatic, and below 80,000 miles, change (not "flush"!) the transmission fluid! But if it is over 80,000 and has never been changed, it's often better to leave it.
