An Independent Disciplinary Commission has today expelled Southampton from the Sky Bet Championship Play-Offs after the Club admitted to multiple breaches of EFL Regulations related to the unauthorised filming of other Clubs’ training.
In addition, the Club has received a four-point deduction that will be applied to the 2026/27 Championship table.
The effect of today’s order is that Middlesbrough are reinstated into the 2026 Play-Offs and will proceed to the Play-Off Final against Hull City. The final remains scheduled for Saturday 23 May, with the kick-off time to be confirmed.

Those of you that follow England may know Matt Earl from Leeds
He had been in Budapest watching Rangers and had gone to Armenia.
He's not been in contact with anyone since Saturday and everyone is very worried. He was due to fly home today but has not made his flights.

🎙️ Chris Wilder on his previous comments about Leeds
"I know there's a bit of pantomime in terms of what I said over [the 18/19 promotion] period. Maybe not the wisest words when you've just got promoted and you're 4 hours in to the celebrations. They'll hold that against me personally but it's not an issue for me, I respect and know what a huge club that is and what a massive challenge we've got on our hands Friday night."

🎙️ Chris Wilder on Leeds
"When you come from Sheffield, it's not hostile, it's not Sheffield United v Sheffield Wednesday, it's not Leeds v Man U, it's not Man U v Liverpool, but there is that edge, I think we've always felt we're in their shadow a little bit and football-wise with what they've achieved - maybe it would've been different if there was 1 team in this city but there isn't, there's 2 big teams and there's 1 huge team in the city of Leeds. We've always felt that as natives of Sheffield maybe we're in their shadow a bit, we've lost a few players up the road from Mick Jones to TC to Sabella to Keith Edwards to Brian Deane. It's a huge football club, over the 4-5 years we've gone down the same path, promotion to the PL, a bit yo-yo-ish."

@MentalOcd No! They wants signing 2 wingers. One left and another right foot. Benson’s a B plan as they have another profile above him but he’s still very well rated… Gnonto pushing to leave.
