@Razing_Cat @ZecoBellic @xemsiv against him for his own amusement, now that is really scummy behaviour. Yosuke was witness to Kanji's inner self while only the protagonist was witness to Yosuke's true self, so Yosuke is very much punching down. Don't even get me started on Morgana and Ryuji.

@Razing_Cat @ZecoBellic @xemsiv I don't know why you are highlighting Yukari's treatment of Junpei as though it were something horrible, she's just a bit snarky with him because he had a tendency to be a bit sleazy, they are still friends. Someone like Yosuke on the other hand used Kanji's insecurities-

In P3 it was resolved by the story, like in the Answer you fight it out with Yukari. But you can't really do anything against Yosuke or Morgana, you are expected to accept their bad behaviour.

@Razing_Cat @ZecoBellic @xemsiv Now try to think of a character in 4 or 5 whose insecurities weren't taken advantage of by the resident Bully (ex. Yosuke) the shit he says to Kanji is nasty, not to mention how Ryuji is treated in 5, sure Yukari ribs on Junpei but thats not as bad as the group beating up Ryuji.

@Razing_Cat @ZecoBellic @xemsiv 1. That something certainly exists, Yukari notes how mature Ken is trying to be, his efforts are not unnoticed. 2. Not a retcon, Ken overcompensates and works harder, because he is younger than the rest, that's his character flaw, insecurity. But SEES never treated him different

Real friend groups also have people who might not be as close, but still cordial and friendly, that's the case with Yukari and Ken. Ken is the odd one out, because he is younger, and that's part of what makes his character unique.

@Razing_Cat @ZecoBellic @xemsiv Fleshed out how? Cast in 4 got their dungeon and their "development" then they became static props, whereas in 3 the characters had periods of doubt and mistrust among each other, having to work towards being friends instead of the synthetic friendships in 4 or 5.
