Israeli lawmaker Ofer Cassif calls for the immediate release of Dr. Hussam Abu Safiya, the director of Gaza's Kamal Adwan Hospital, who is currently facing the risk of death in Israeli prisons.
Painting from the "Yaffa Orange Collection" (2025) by artist Marwa Najjar, paired with a poem "My Grandfather’s Well" by Palestinian Mosab Abu Toha, Poet, Writer, Pulitzer Prize winner, Founder of the Edward Said Public Library.
I never met Grandfather, but I can see him
close to a well in Yaffa. The forehead he’s wiping
is a glittering, wrinkled map of the past.
His olive-wood cane leans
against an orange tree.
I can see birds the colour of earth
when it rains
harvest oranges, pile them
on roofs of houses
in the refugee camp.
Where have you been? Grandfather asks me,
his voice
weary as if
plowing the thick, muddy
soil of language.
My arms are down, too tired to lift
even to say hi.
I’ve been pulling up buckets of water
from the Camp’s well,
searching for words
for my epic.
My grandfather stands still close to the well.
He never left it, even after the Nakba,
even after death.
His hands pour water
down into the well.
In the refugee camp,
where Land is strewn with
debris, where air chokes with rage,
my harvest is yet to arrive,
my seeds only sprout on this page.

💢 Al Jazeera’s Fault Lines spoke with Palestinian American child Mohammed Ibrahim, released from Israeli prison after more than nine months in detention. He described how his friend Walid Ahmad, a 17-year-old, was killed in Israeli custody at Megiddo prison.
Ibrahim said that after an emaciated and wounded Walid lay bleeding after a fall, guards dragged him from the cell by his hair. He was later announced dead.

Please watch and make this go viral. During Albanese’s speech my beautiful Lebanese Australian friend, long time Labor member, stood up and walked out of the NSW Labor Conference wearing her Palestinian flag.
What a powerhouse she is ❤️🇵🇸👊
Israel has installed 23 30m tall cranes mounted with remotely-operated machine guns to shoot civilians in Gaza, resulting in deaths and injuries. Reported by human rights groups, ignored by Western news media. #GazaGenocide#FreePalestine https://t.co/6K6C9kgqWy
Lebanese Children’s Drawings After the 2006 War on Lebanon - No. 3 by Assil Jaafar
This is the war on children: not only killing bodies, but stealing childhoods, forcing tiny hands to document horror instead of drawing flowers, superheros and futures.
Twenty years later, the same enemy continues its assault on south Lebanon — murdering at will, destroying homes and entire villages, displacing populations, and waging the same brutal war on the innocent.
In the simple lines of a child’s crayon, we see the unbearable truth — a deliberate, unending assault on the most vulnerable.
This drawing is testimony.
It is a scream frozen in color.
We remember the children of South Lebanon.
We remember every child targeted across generations.
Their drawings will outlive the bombs.
Their truth will not be silenced.
The Israeli PR machine is panicking. Israel’s funnelled $4.1 million into the “largest Christian Church Geofencing Campaign in US history” But no algorithm in the world can hide the destruction of the very faith they claim to defend.
Israel's War on Christians Exposed:
Spread far and wide. Governments need to realise that this will reflect directly at elections as we've seen in New York. Most people have some moral compass and do not support war crimes and genocide.
Pew survey reveals two out of three people worldwide now hold unfavorable views of Israel
——
A comprehensive international poll published by the Pew Research Center in June, has revealed an unprecedented shift in global public opinion, with two out of every three people worldwide now viewing Israel unfavorably.
While the sharpest condemnation stems from Muslim-majority nations such as Turkiye and Pakistan, the total collapse of Israel's legitimacy has transcended regional borders to become a global phenomenon.
The data underscores a profound isolation as even Israel's most loyal foreign partners witness a dramatic surge in public hostility.
Over the past year, unfavorable views have spiked across Germany, the UK, Canada, and the US, while nations like Argentina completely flipped from a pro-Israel minority to a critical majority in just twelve months.
🚨URGENT: Dr. Hussam Abu Safiya’s life is in immediate danger, Physicians for Human Rights Israel and his lawyer warned Saturday, after a prison visit revealed the director of Kamal Adwan Hospital bearing fresh, severe injuries to his head, eyes, ears, and neck, so disfigured his own attorney initially struggled to recognize him.
🔹Attorney Nasser Odeh, who saw Abu Safiya Thursday at the underground Rakefet interrogation facility in Nitzan Prison, said he arrived shackled hand and foot, escorted by masked guards, struggling to breathe and speak, unable to sit upright, and repeatedly on the verge of losing consciousness.
🔹Abu Safiya told him that after his Supreme Court appeal was heard June 10, four or five guards entered his solitary cell at Ganot Prison and beat him with a hammer and batons, and that since his June 24 transfer to Rakefet he has been beaten daily, losing consciousness several times without receiving medical treatment.
🔹“This is the last time you will see me,” he told his lawyer. “They brought me here to kill me. I don’t see myself surviving. This is the end.”
🔹PHRI notes the escalation in torture began directly after Abu Safiya challenged his detention in court. He has been held without charge since December 27, 2024, under Israel’s Unlawful Combatants Law.
🔹The group has appealed to Israel’s attorney general and prison service demanding his immediate transfer, an independent medical examination, and an urgent judicial visit “before it is too late.”

"A Child’s View of Gaza" No 10
One of many drawings by the children of Gaza (2011) that Jewish organizations pressured an Oakland children’s museum to cancel. Community leaders say the shutting down of the exhibition was the result of a disturbing — and well-funded — campaign to silence Palestinian voices across the US.
I'll be re-posting all the drawings over the next couple of weeks, we'll have our own exhibition for them.
After Australian flotilla participants gave testimony about the physical and sexual abuse they endured at the hands of israeli forces, Australia’s Foreign Minister called for an AFP investigation.
The israeli ambassador dismissed that investigation as a “waste of time.” The embassy went further, calling the allegations “disrespectful to genuine victims of sexual assault and rape.”
This is victim-blaming.
This is an attack on survivors.
Australia cannot host an ambassador who mocks survivors, undermines an investigation, and shields perpetrators from accountability.
We demand:
1. Full cooperation with the AFP investigation
2. The immediate release of all CCTV, body-cam, and detention footage
3. The expulsion of the israeli ambassador from Australia

For your information, this video was taken just an hour ago. It shows Israel blowing up buildings east of Khan Younis.
Again and again, shame on Western media that continues to call this a “ceasefire.”
By the Western media’s definition, an Israeli “ceasefire” apparently includes the continued killing of families, especially those with very young children, blowing up residential buildings, burning tents sheltering displaced people, banning international journalists, blocking life-saving medical supplies, and restricting, and on many days completely preventing, patients from leaving Gaza for urgently needed medical treatment abroad.
