I’ve been seeing a few people saying this is character development for both characters, and that would be all fine and good but the issue is that none of that really happens?

I do wanna say, I don’t say all of this in bad faith. I see potential in all of it, and I’d love to see it live up to what it has. My issue is that we don’t get it, the pacing is off, and the story seems to be willing to throw its own characters into the mud for shipping.
