More than 1,000 letters have been sent to state officials since Sept. 15 on behalf of Silver Diner, following legal action the restaurant took earlier this month to protect its BWI Marshall Airport location, officials said Wednesday.

The push comes after Silver Diner filed a lawsuit Sept. 8 in Anne Arundel County Circuit Court against Fraport, BWI’s concessions manager. The lawsuit alleges that Fraport breached a 2022 agreement between the companies and fraudulently misrepresented the terms of Silver Diner’s continued operation at the airport.

Fraport USA spokesperson Cathy Simoni said Wednesday the company “categorically rejects the claims asserted in the pending litigation as unfounded and without merit.”
