@tableofenoch Yes, but not for the reasons you might think. Mahito uses his CT to heal, by reshaping his body soul ro become whole or reshaping his body to not get hit. However, as any other curse, he can run out of CE, which means he cant heal forever.

@QingBZ If we're expecting Yuta to go in blind, then so should Mahito, which means Mahito would not be able to protect himself against cursed speech. The backlash from cursed speech is determined by the difference in cursed energy/strength, so Yuta could possibly just command "die".

@heyjay_xo I think its the conservation of energy. Gojo dispelled his purple after hitting Hanami to not cause even more destruction, and that energy needs to go somewhere. In real life, the excess energy often turns into heat, so probably that immense energy was enough to start fire.
