Amazing photo of my 2x ggrandmother Jane Mutch m/s Jaffray (1843-1934). She brought up 12 children alone after her husband, Alexander, died unexpectedly at age of 40. #geneaolgy#FamilyHistory @valhuggins @StuartSuzie@Kaarennn_s @dandy19031983
Peter Phillips' wedding day is a chance to bring out the story of how when he captained Gordonstoun at rugby he was greeted by Inverness ref Colin Baillie at the coin toss with the words: "would you like tails ,...or granny?"
Ahead of tonight’s #SCOBOL game, a link below to the Penny family from Aberdeenshire, who had strong business interests in the mines across there.

@offtheballbbc Listening to @Detroit67Book’s reminiscing about his berry picking in his formative years. In the early 1990s, that was my summer holiday job at a farm near me, in Aberdeenshire. Quite a coincidence this came up, as off to a class reunion tonight! 🍓😋
We’re excited to share our new recording "It Only Takes One Lion" is released on June 2nd.
The song is an anthem for Scotland’s quest for the World Cup.
Stuart shares, “it’s a personal song about following the travails of Scotland’s national team for the last 50 years and it came out naturally the day after the game against Denmark. The song tries to encompass the experience of the whole country following Scotland.”
We can’t wait to see Scotland play in the World Cup for the first time since 1998!

@ScottishFA McInnes was correct to say to end the game. He’d a stadium of deranged and unhinged individuals hurtling towards his team! Safety of his team, his players, were his priority, where the authorities have failed, rather than an admission of defeat! Responsible management.
@UpTheYouKnowWho@maroonajambo You’re crowing some sort of moral victory because McInnes said to end the game 😂. Of course he’d say that, since he’d a stadium of deranged unhinged individuals hurtling towards his team! Safety of his team, where the authorities have failed, rather than an admission of defeat!
This whole debate is utterly ridiculous now. Celtic v Hearts was prematurely abandoned because of a pitch invasion that put player safety at risk. The evidence is indisputable. If people want to then have a separate debate about appropriate sanctions, fine.
From Bucharest to Greenock, Larnaca and Livi, thank you for your incredible support on the road this season.
One last away day tomorrow, before we get ready to do it all over again together in 2026/27.
i’ll never understand the “gotcha” behind this, a club prepares for a potential outcome
at least it’s hidden inside unlike celtic’s treble stage last season
🏆 28 years ago today, Hearts ended a 36-year wait for a trophy by winning the Scottish Cup - at Celtic Park!
They return there at lunchtime today, hoping to end a 66 year wait for the league title.
