🔸When we say fix the nation’s emergency services, this is what we mean.
The helicopter crash happened at around 5pm. The deceased persons’ bodies were left outside to be ravaged by the elements and stolen by wild animals and “wild animals” until around 8am, the next day. Why are they now surprised that crucial body parts, including the heads of the deceased persons, are missing?
Every person who has passed away in a tragedy deserves dignity. To be buried with such an important body part must be grueling for those who remain. Was there an active search to recover them?
What prevented them from installing a flood light at the scene, doing the necessary forensic work and retrieving the bodies that night?
If an accident happens on a road, do you just leave the bodies there all night and then come when the sun comes up as if we are in the dark ages? When we raised this crisis when the Kariba Disaster happened, why did they not take heed?
The issue is that there has been no investment into our emergency services. Instead, the money has been spent on laps of luxury for political elites. When we say don’t waste public money on private jets, Rolls Royces, million-dollar watches and luxury mansions, it’s not because we hate you. It’s not a personal attack. It is because we want our public services to be solid enough to ensure every person is treated with dignity when they’re vulnerable and need the system to work the most, including you.
Instead of heeding this call, you call us names, chant 2040 and think you’re above the need for a functional public service system.
Here we are.
We need new leaders.🇿🇼
"Hatingarege kuenda kuMbare nekuti kune cholera" You see how obnoxious these pple are? Then when horrible things happen to wicked pple y'all start saying Ubuntu.... Nuh Fuck Ubuntu. INHATA idzi let them die like flies
I speak for every Zimbabwean when I say the regime cannot force a nation to grieve for a man who looted its future. They invite themselves to multi-million dollar weddings and share illegal tenders within their elite cartel, but expect ordinary Zimbabweans to cry when tragedy hits their circle. Grief is a natural feeling, not a state mandate.
Lucy Chivhayo is an example of making marriage your life's only achievement.
If she had other goals besides being married to wicknell we wouldn't see her everywhere he goes and perhaps not end up in this situation
She would have different schedules and errands to run on her own.
Shocking video from crash site of helicopter that killed prominent businessman Wicknell Chivayo, his wife and four others at Kudenga Farm in Marondera shows small pieces of fuselage spread over a nearly 100-meter straight line and signs of a fire.

When we were saying “Buy ambulances,” they told us, “You can’t tell people what to do with their money.” Now ambulances have to come all the way from Harare to rescue someone in fucking Marondera.
This is exactly why public services and emergency response infrastructure matter.
@HeraldZimbabwe Ambulances had to travel from Hre to Marondera.
When 🇿🇼eans were saying instead of donating to individuals why not give to hospitals.
Mukati munhu anoita zvaanoda nemari yake. KuMarondera there are no ambulances, if he had donated to hospitals, one or 2 lives might’ve been saved
Blessed Sunday.

I met Leonard Dembo once only in 1994, when he offered me a lift from Record and Tape Promotions on Lorraine Drive in Mabelreign, Harare. As we drove, he asked what I was doing with my life. I told him I had just completed my journalism training and was about to leave for Britain to further my studies.
When we reached my stop, I reached for my wallet to pay him. He would not hear of it. Instead, he wished me well and told me that if I stayed focused, I would go far. I have carried those words with me ever since.
He was a good man, born into a cruel era that took him from us far too soon. Two years after that ride, in April 1996, he was gone, aged just 36.
This is one of my favourite songs by Leonard Dembo, the greatest sungura musician Zimbabwe has ever produced, and by a mile. Nobody in their right mind can argue with that. The song is Mutadzi Ngaaregererwe, a haunting plea for forgiveness that still speaks to me three decades on.
