Responding police agencies control the scene & make initial decisions to arrest or not arrest. There was no booking.

SL County government or County Jail has nothing to do with this.

Unidentified TRAX stabbing suspect promptly RELEASED after stabbing another man TWICE on Utah TRAX yesterday causing serious injuries.

Despite over a DOZEN witnesses and multiple people subduing the crazed knife-wielding suspect until the next TRAX stop, where police arrested him— and apparently promptly releasing him to harm again.

No name or mugshot given.

Arm and train accordingly because the SLCo government clearly wants criminals out on the street!

It’s an open investigation by the responding police agency. When they complete it they will forward it to the DA’s office to screen it.

To date we have not received it.

@MarinasHammer @henryC2525 Yes, and when the matter is presented to us we will screen it. We have 72 hours to file if all relevant evidence is given to us. The subject of the previous case was in Utah County. And we do not discuss things we are screening or make decisions without evidence.

Hey @SimGillDA why did this pedophile get probation last year only to be released to r*pe another child? This seems to be a pattern.

Why haven’t charges been filed against him? Will you be charging his mother with conspiracy, kidnapping, or other charges since she aided her pedophile son in obtaining another victim?
