“I know, O Lord, that your rules are righteous, and that in faithfulness you have afflicted me.” Psalm 119:75
Dear Christian, pay no attention to those who say your affliction is merely random or demonic.
“Be imitators of God, as beloved children.” Ephesians 5:1
What is the difference between the imitation of a loved child and an owned slave?
Happy desire.
The one who said, “I am not worthy to untie Jesus’s shoes,” told the crowds and the tax collectors and the soldiers how to behave (Luke 3:10–16).
Pastors, your boldness is based on God’s direction, not your perfection.
John the Baptist said to the crowds, don’t grow your wardrobe, to the tax collectors, don’t collect more than you are permitted, to the soldiers, be content with your wages (Luke 3:10–14).
The love of money turns humans into a brood of vipers.
“Put off your old self, which belongs to your former manner of life and is corrupt through deceitful desires.” Ephesians 4:22
Since desires can deceive, they are no measure of truth.
So much for the *blessing* of wealth.
“King Solomon loved many foreign women, along with the daughter of Pharaoh: Moabite, Ammonite, Edomite, Sidonian, and Hittite women, from the nations concerning which the Lord had said to the people of Israel, ‘You shall not enter into marriage with them.’” 1 Kings 11:1–2
Simeon to Mary: “This child is appointed for the fall and rising of many in Israel, and for a sign that is opposed (and a sword will pierce through your own soul also), so that thoughts from many hearts may be revealed.” Luke 2:34–35
#CoramDeo: El Dr. R.C.
