Sky Sports making me cry with all the Ben Stokes montages this morning. I'd like to blame a recent family bereavement for being this emotional, but I'd have been the same regardless. It feels like a genuine end of an era now Root is the only great remaining.
Ben Stokes IS England cricket. He's a gladiator, he's the man for the vital moments, he drags his team through time after time. Everyone knows the Headingley knock but I was there earlier in the Test to witness his 15-over spell to get us in the game. Sums him up. A true great.
If that was the last of Stokes, I'm gutted. Makes sense to bring in an interim when the vice captain's in the team, eh? (Yes, I understand why but it just highlights how much of a mess it is).
@JacquiOatley It might be the reason I get back into sport. I hate going into work after a big sporting weekend with no one to share my joy/misery with!
There have been very few highlights this season, but Kinsky's performances in the run-in have been incredible. That save against Leeds was huge. The only other highlight was Micky's solo goal v Copenhagen.
Nearly blubbed at this and I have absolutely no connection to Man City. A lot of the time, especially when talking to the media, I think Pep can be a bit of clown. But this is beautiful. Written by him too makes this so classy.
Southampton expelled for cheating.
Spurs lose at Chelsea with PL status hanging on by a thread.
Arsenal win the bloody title.
And yet this, THIS post by MK Dons might be the worst thing to happen today. On my birthday, btw, lads.
Ireland will not broadcast the #Eurovision this week - and instead of the final, RTÉ will air a repeat of the Father Ted Eurovision episode A Song for Europe https://t.co/py9cuAzwuF
