@FBAShaka@KirkWrites79 The reason we don't have many Black shows is because we don't support the good shows
Ppl nitpick about them early then ignore the just decent shows once they prove good. They're cancelled from low ratings
People accept trash shows, call it guilty pleasure & give viewership
@Vinnie_LaMotte@KirkWrites79 The only Black TV reboots were good shows.
They employed writers and directors who get the credibility to do their own shows
Everyone wins
I wish y’all would read. Instead, you cherry pick excerpts, strip them on context, and put your own spin on it for engagement. People who actually read the text have an entirely different understanding of what this clip is. And this is how many of you fall for everything.
@nhoodpublicist The talent & marketing have promoted this film since last yr & people said it was too early.
"I'm not going to support a movie cuz they say it's movie with Black people that need support" makes it seem like Hollywood reverse psychologied u to spitefully not support Black talent🫠
@nhoodpublicist The original statement in the tweet was "Black rom-com" which speaks to the stars not writer or director.
If there is 2 races it's an interracial romcom. Nina was told to see if a film with Black love interests works so her film with Black love interests can get in theaters
@KirkWrites79 It's odd that some people are resenting the message to basically say "if they're saying we HAVE to support it then I'll show them, I won't support Black talent"
..........
Black leads and Black films don't always align and that's ok if we support Black actors one round...
