People are talking about an "emergency" lasting for 3 days. Big deal! Things will get REALLY interesting if it goes on for 3 WEEKS. Or longer. What will people do when they've run out of food, and there's nothing to buy in the shops? And there's no bally gas, lecky or water?
Many people still refuse to believe that a crisis is imminent. “We have a government! They’re looking after us. They wouldn’t allow us to get into a crisis!” WRONG! They actually WANT a crisis, so they can lock us all down in a zero-democracy digital-ID police state forever.
If we really do end up in a major national emergency, I think our "government" will struggle to govern. Many of us have already lost all trust in the Establishment. A horrible crisis would be the last straw. I suspect there will be massive non-compliance with official orders.
@SimonFoxWriter It is "all over" for Britain, the nation is already entering a state of total, terminal collapse.
It’s a slow, rotting process where the physical and social architecture of the country simply ceases to function. The most dangerous aspect is the collapse of free speech.
My attitude towards the UK’s traitorous Establishment (“government”, Uniparty, judiciary, civil service, police, mainstream media, academia, Monarchy, C. of E.) is now one of deep-seated 100% scepticism. I literally don’t believe ANYTHING they say, about ANYTHING whatsoever.
@SimonFoxWriter The fact they can’t even communicate why we’re supposed to stockpile says a lot. Where’s the trust/honesty here? You don’t tell a nation to stockpile when you can’t tell them why. Have they not decided yet? Very serious question. 🇬🇧
The actual content of #WesStreeting's warning to the British people yesterday: "Something seriously BAD might happen soon, but I can't say what, or when, or where. So, be prepared for ... whatever. Innit."
Infrastructure failure IS coming this winter and the government is panicking big time
There’s a number of recent events which are telling signs
These“suggestions” from ministers to stockpile essentials are not hollow words. They’re trying to get people prepared with causing major panic
The decision to grant a licence for the Jackdaw gas field and go against Labour’s net zero policy is extremely telling. This decision isn’t about this winter, as the gas won’t be flowing by then, this is to try and convince the electorate that the government has learnt its lesson and next winter it’ll be different
Also, they’re already started to look to blame others. The government has known for months that our gas supplies won’t last long enough should we have a severe winter, but they’ve buried their heads in the sand. When the power cuts come it’ll be the fault of Russia or Iran or some other perceived enemy, not the fault of horrendous policy decisions by consecutive Conservative and Labour governments
It’s time to buckle up and hold on, because the UK is in for one hell of a ride this winter
