Spent 3 days with ⁦@PaulFarleyMIB⁩ ⁦@AndyTrotterMIB⁩ ⁦@MPSSpecials⁩ #VET in Hyde Park area in response to public concerns over anti-social driving. Having a high value car doesn’t negate the mandatory requirement for insurance. 60 vehicles seized #DriveInsured

Today Southend was the chosen location for a new collaboration between @DriveInsured and @EPRoadsPolicing specifically targeting the menace of uninsured driving. A range of pro-active tactics are being used to identify, stop + seize vehicles. Over 10 seized so far #DriveInsured

I was grateful to be invited along to this big operation focusing on all aspects of uninsured driving and road safety. It remains illegal to ride a private e-scooter or e-bike (with certain modifications) on public roads and police have the power to seize and dispose of them.

Over the weekend, we supported @MPSSpecials @metpoliceuk during #OperationSync, resulting in 47 vehicle seizures, including e-scooters, e-bikes, cars, and vans. In excess of 500 vehicles were stopped and checked, ensuring those flouting the law have #NowhereToHide. #DriveInsured
