I look forward to working with him in the months and years ahead to deliver mutually beneficial outcomes for both Ireland and the United Kingdom.
I wish the Chancellor every success in his role and look forward to meeting him in person in the near future.
I was pleased to have the opportunity to speak with Chancellor @JohnHealey_MP following his appointment.
We had a warm and substantive engagement around a range of issues and we have agreed to meet next month at the G20 meeting of Finance Ministers in the US.
I was also delighted to invite Chancellor Healey to attend the informal gathering of EU Finance Ministers in Dublin in September, which I will chair as President of ECOFIN.

Commiserations to Kerry. They once again showed the quality, character and sportsmanship that have made them one of the greatest counties in GAA history.
Days like this remind us what makes the GAA so special.
Communities united.
Families together.
Memories made.

Building on the strong working relationship between the Department of Finance and HM Treasury, I hope we can explore how best we can ensure tangible benefits for our people, our businesses and our economies.
I want to extend my warmest congratulations and best wishes to Andy Burnham on becoming UK Prime Minister today.
From my discussions with him as Mayor of Greater Manchester, it is clear that he places significant value on the UK-Ireland relationship.
My full statement:
I anticipate that I will engage with the Chancellor shortly and hope to discuss the importance of sustained and positive cooperation between our two countries.
News today of the planned engagement between Cork City Council and the developers is very welcome. I truly hope it results in the right outcome for all concerned.
I have been absolutely clear about my deep unease in relation to the proposed development on the grounds of Bessborough.
The concerns raised by survivors groups, families, campaigners and the wider community have been clear and consistent and it is important they are listened to.
Every time we have met, including most recently last year in Dublin, it has been clear that he places great value in the UK-Ireland relationship and I look forward to working closely with him to build on that in the time ahead.
