Great afternoon with our Volunteers and Team from @crukharpenden shop and the Hapenden Committee today. Weather was not on our side but our teams are unrelenting in raising vital funds for the work of @CR_UK, thanks to all. @CRUKShops
Volunteers like Annie make our lifesaving research possible, and it’s always a highlight of my year to meet them and hear their stories. So a huge thank you to Annie and all our incredible volunteers.
This #VolunteersWeek, I want to say thank you to our incredible volunteers. Volunteers like Annie, a dedicated fundraising volunteer who started the Ladies' Tractor Road Runover 20 years ago and has since raised over £1million to help us beat cancer.
“When we had done the first run we actually had 50 ladies, and the reaction at the end of that was ‘Wow Annie, you’ve got to do this again.’ And so here we are, 21 years later.”
Today we launch our #CancerManifesto which clearly outlines the priorities for the next UK Government. Please take a moment to watch the film below and urge Politicians to support our Campaign for longer, better lives.
Cancer is the defining health issue of our time. Ahead of a general election, we're launching our #CancerManifesto, which sets out the steps the next UK government must take so that people can live #LongerBetterLives.
From backing cancer research and tackling long waiting times to creating a smokefree generation, the actions we’ve outlined can help prevent thousands of future cancers and improve cancer survival.
Please have a look at the gold-medal winning @CRUK Legacy Garden at the Hampton Court Palace Festival! The garden has been designed by Paul Hervey-Brookes @HerveyBrookes . The peoples choice vote is open now.

It’s #VolunteersWeek; a chance to thank our #CRUKVolunteers for all they do to support our life-saving work. Volunteers like Gill, who has been an avid supporter and fundraiser for Cancer Research UK for over 20 years and has raised a phenomenal £1 million to support our research
When asked about why she volunteers, Gill shared: “Sadly, there’s probably not a family in the country that has not been touched by cancer, so I will continue with the fundraising endeavours. I hope my story will help inspire others to find innovative volunteering adventures.”
Great Christmas concert with @BIGCHOIRLondon last night for @CR_UK. Over 60 members gave a great performance raising over £50k for our research this year. Thanks to all who supported.
