The difference wasn't only technical quality it was discipline. Spain dominated possession, closed every passing lane and never allowed Argentina to play at the tempo they wanted. They respected Argentina, but they never feared them.

When a team can make the reigning world champions look ordinary in a World Cup final, that tells you everything. Spain deserved every bit of that victory.
