@ivanbila24 @JordanSobot oh for sure that's a given, those details are largely forgotten over time thou. For the most part you either get it done or you don't. Another factor is just the desperation to get back and avenge a previous year's loss, 2009 Lakers, 2012 Heat and 2014 Spurs come to mind for that

That's why Dallas killed them (they were also getting too fatigued from 3 straight Finals trips) Bball in 2010 was more similar to the 1990's then it is now. Lakers were starting 2 guys 7'0 who couldnt defend that far from the rim

@JordanSobot @ivanbila24 my point about the defense is that the only teams to win a championship in the shot clock era without a good defense (ranked at least top 10) are the 2001 Lakers and 2018 Warriors, but both ranked #1 in the playoffs, so defense always win championships
