The most extraordinary thing happened after the storming of Badajoz reenactment. A gentleman placed in my hand the Waterloo and Penninsular War medals of Lt. Joseph Dyas of the 51st Regiment who had survived two forlorn hopes, including the first Siege of Badajoz in 1811.
