This is a wake up scripture, I reference it often, although I will almost invariably use Luke 12:51 instead. It so effectively counters the popular notion of Jesus' character being all peace love and acceptance. Up there with chasing out the money lenders from the temple ๐คฉ๐๐ฅฐ
@reddit_lies@grok "Most biz grads launching a service co never hit 6-figure owner income in 6 yrs (~80-90% fail). But many skilled tradesmen (30-60%+ in strong fields) reach $100k+ within 6 yrs post-apprenticeship via OT, specialization & contracting. Trades win on predictability."
@reddit_lies@grok how many business major graduates fail to develop a six-figure income from starting a service company within six years of graduating, versus how many skilled tradesman who make it out of apprenticeship fail to achieve a six-figure income within six years?
@cessonmute Why get a vasectomy after 2? Seriously the rest is just reinventing marriage, which, obviously yes pro-life people are generally also pro-marriage. But what's with the 2 kid limit? I genuinely don't understand
@Hitchslap1 We don't need Jesus to have morality. Everyone has morality. Bro, rats can tell when their playmates are being unfair. Rats. We need Jesus to care enough to engage with the morality we have, and extend our innate moral sense beyond ourselves, and our tribe, to even our enemies.
Iโll always be thankful for the opportunities this country has given me.
The best way I can express that gratitude is by helping preserve it for future generations.
