It’s more than a little ironical that Genocide only became a crime (in International law) after the Second World War and the Holocaust that Jewish people suffered at the hands of the Nazis…..and now Israel, the Jewish state - is itself committing Genocide, on the Palestinian people. This latest in a string of independent reports paints a dark picture - deliberate targeting of children (with weapons), torture of children and sexual abuse of children. That last one is shocking where shock seems to be no longer possible. For how much longer will the West stand by and do nothing, Israel is a cancer in the Middle East - under its current leadership - it flouts all legal and moral conventions, a truly foul regime. We need sanctions now, as we had against South Africa as we have had against Iran and as we have against Russia - for far less in the way of crimes against humanity. We need to end the double standards. Israel must be stopped.

Most people own cheaper homes and would find they benefit from this. A £2m home would pay £9.6k eventually. They currently pay £5.2k now so £6.4k initially.

Just another reminder that Andy Burnham voted for the Iraq war - an illegal war that cost over a million lives.

He has refused to describe the systematic slaughter of Palestinians in Gaza as genocide.

So what will change? Nothing.

Arms sales to apartheid Israel will continue.

Palestine Action will remain banned, and more pensioners will be locked up.

Welfare will be cut to fund more weapons.

Immigration detention will expand, and mass deportations will continue.

Andy Burnham is not the second coming. He's the establishment's last roll of the dice.

We've already seen racist pogroms on our streets. That danger has not gone away.

So we must organise, build solidarity, and create power from below. Fascism isn't at the door. It's already here.

Only socialism can face down this barbarism.
