Taking home gold is Wyatt Carr from ID!
"I’m feeling pretty good," said Carr. "To prepare I hadn’t really done a lot of pace work but just being consistent. Yeah it was fun being out with all the older classmen upperclassman so that was a little nerve-racking, but it was fun."
Congratulations to JoJo Jourdan from UT for setting the #1 time in the US and a new meet record with 4:07.73!!
In the final stretch, Jourdon encouraged the crowd to get behind him. "Sometimes a mile is boring," said Jourdon. "I wanted to make it more entertaining for the crowd."
Hey Blazin Bruins teams, need some help carrying all that gold? Congratulations to the California Bruins teams for outlasting and outpacing their competition!
"It feels really good to win, it’s nice to see that so many of our teammates have won, we’ve worked hard for it."
Securing the gold in the Boys' Pole Vault is Bryce Barkdall from Kansas.
“Simplot games has been wonderful," said Barkdall. "It was a great crowd and great facility."

Give it up for the Long Beach Blazin Bruins 'A' team! The Bruins teams, hailing all the way from California, are taking gold left and right.

Setting a new meet record and now has the #1 time in the US is Jane Hedengren from UT.
“I didn’t come into today eying the record. Records are hard to beat, especially at a legendary meet like the Simplot Games.”

Daniel Simmons from Utah set the #1 time in the US.
"I am feeling really happy, really excited, and thirsty right now. I mean I went into the race wanting to run at 4:24 for the 1st mile and then just try and max out the 2nd mile. I Think it was awesome, I did what I wanted."
Idaho Dash Track and Club 'B' takes the All Idaho Boys 4x200-meter.
"The Simplot Games has been a great experience. Our club is based in Boise, but the four of us are located across the state, so today was the first handoff we have ever done together.”

The Ram Track Club “A” relay team of Devree Bell, Gracee Anderson, Peyton Pieper and Tambree Bell was the fastest Idaho 4x200-meter team in their first meet running together.
“We just went out to have fun,” said Tambree Bell. “It feels really good to represent Pocatello.”
From Gillette Wyoming, Thunder Basin High School takes the gold!
When asked about their strategic approach to their performance they responded "Run fast, turn left!"

“Being at the Simplot games is so fun," said Jensen. "It’s a great opportunity for me and it’s really special to be with my team.”
