Something strange is happening in India's stock markets
In 2025, 63% IPO money raised didn't go to companies, but went to promoters and private equity
And this is not by accident, I spent weeks digging SEBI filings to understand how IPOs are rigged, here's what I found

1900% margin??
वो कैंसर जैसी बीमारी में , जिसका इलाज वैसे भी काफ़ी लंबा चलता है??
ग़रीब तो मर ही जाएगा ना?
ये तो ठीक नहीं हैं ना साहब ?

Dear Ms. Bendre, as a clinician sub-specialist treating a multitude of cancer patients daily, I expected better from you. Cancer-survivors, especially celebrity cancer-survivors are an important asset/ resource for cancer patients and their families when it comes to science based, rationalistic and logical therapeutic journeys which help improve outlook towards cancer diagnosis, care and prevention. You are not helping here, by promoting quackery. Let me explain.
Long read, but worth your time.
In 2018, you were diagnosed with stage 4 metastatic endometrial cancer that had spread to other parts of the body. You moved to New York for an intense cancer treatment regimen, including chemotherapy, radiation and surgery. In 2019, you shared that you had achieved remission, and was officially cancer-free and returned to India.
I repeat, your cancer went into remission after chemotherapy, radiation and surgery at an advanced cancer treatment hospital.
Not because of Naturopathy. Not because of autophagy. Because you have the option (and privilege) to opt for the best treatments from scientific practice to help you.
Naturopathy is a quackery. Fraudulent cancer treatments offered under the guise of naturopathy are a serious issue, with numerous reported cases of patients being financially exploited and potentially harmed by delaying effective, evidence-based medical care.
The FDA has issued multiple warning letters to inform patients regarding illegally sold cancer treatments - Naturopathy features prominently in most: https://t.co/bBPazEn8Ph
In scientifically progressive countries, Naturopaths have been banned from promoting treatments for cancer - https://t.co/4S3fk3m07Z
In an exhaustive list of unproven and disproven cancer treatments, Naturopathy features alongside the other nonsensical pseudoscientific "therapies" such as Ayurveda and Homeopathy: https://t.co/Cxi8k4QRpd
A very famous Naturopath, left Naturopathy and has been educating people to not opt for Naturopathy as a treatment option for anything. Her name is Britt Marie Hermes and I strongly advice everyone to follow her and read her blogs.
https://t.co/5Wu1Nty1sm and https://t.co/SWvduqFTWH. She calls Naturopathy - essentially "witchcraft" just like Ayurveda, Homeopathy, Siddha, Unani are.
Now this whole 'hungama' about autophagy. Autophagy is a normal physiological process. It happens normally inside you whether you want it or not.
Autophagy is simply your cells' recycling system - when nutrients are scarce, cells break down and reuse damaged or unnecessary components to survive.
While this process is important for normal cellular health, naturopaths and fasting promoters dangerously misrepresent it by claiming that fasting "activates autophagy" to prevent or cure cancer, despite no credible human evidence supporting this.
The reality is far more complex: cancer cells actually exploit autophagy to survive harsh conditions like chemotherapy and low oxygen, meaning that triggering autophagy could theoretically help tumours survive rather than eliminate them. This oversimplified "detox" narrative preys on vulnerable cancer patients by promising miraculous results from fasting regimens while potentially delaying proven treatments, ignoring that the relationship between autophagy and cancer is highly context-dependent and still being researched.
The ethical violation lies in marketing unproven interventions as cancer cures based on superficial understanding of cellular biology, exploiting patients' hope while potentially causing harm through malnutrition or treatment delays.
Naturopathy research especially on nutritional medicine and fasting is highly fraudulent and misleading: https://t.co/CpbvxMDvHq
So ditch that Naturopath and these quack principles, and start embracing real scientific medicine. I wish you the best in your journey forward as an ally in fighting cancer, for patients and their family. And for doctors who work hard to improve cancer patients lives.
Is there a unique smell that transports you back to your childhood? Or a particular odour that triggers a memory of eating a food that made you unwell, which deters you from trying it again?
Despite our appreciation of how evocative and powerful our sense of smell can be, it was largely a mystery until two laureates clarified how our olfactory system works.
Medicine laureate Linda Buck asked, “How could humans and other mammals detect 10,000 or more odorous chemicals, and how could nearly identical chemicals generate different odour perceptions? In my mind, this was a monumental puzzle and an unparalleled diversity problem.”
Together with Richard Axel in 1991, she discovered how hundreds of genes in our DNA code for the odorant sensors located in the olfactory sensory neurons in our noses. Each receptor is a protein that changes when an odorant attaches itself to the receptor. This causes an electric signal to be sent to the brain.
Small differences between different odorant sensors mean that certain odorants cause a signal to be released from a certain receptor. Smells are composed of a large number of different substances and we interpret the varying signals from our receptors as specific scents.
Twenty years ago, Axel and Buck were awarded the Nobel Prize in Physiology or Medicine 2004 for their work, which has potential applications for treating people whove lost their appetite or sense of smell.

Parents should take this analysis seriously. I believe there is increasing evidence that we are giving way too many vaccines to very young children. This is spreading in India too and we are seeing a rapid increase in autism in India.
I went to a medical store.
I asked for ORS.
He gave me ORSL.
I said, “This is not ORS.”
He said, “Ok, keep it aside, I’ll give you another.”
Then he gave me the original ORS.
People don’t have much knowledge, so they may end up buying ORSL instead of ORS. Why is this kind of misleading product still available in the market?
Did you know that 5% of worldwide greenhouse gas emissions are created by electricity for lighting?
The work of three physics laureates is making a positive difference. Isamu Akasaki, Hiroshi Amano and Shuji Nakamura invented efficient blue light-emitting diodes which has enabled bright and energy-saving white LED bulbs, which illuminate everything from Christmas trees to football stadiums.
LED light sources have the least environmental impact. They use at least 75% less energy and last around 25 times longer than incandescent bulbs, but they are not used everywhere.
A global shift to energy efficient bulbs such as LEDs is urgently needed, and could help to reduce worldwide greenhouse gas emissions.

Gurugram, Haryana
To whom it may or may not concern and especially to my well-wishers:
On the evening of Saturday 06 September 2025, the Rohini Courts in New Delhi, passed an ex parte interim injunction against me in a defamation suit filed by Adani Enterprises Limited, the plaintiff. The case concerns my reporting and my analytical articles and statements on the corporate conglomerate headed by Shri Gautam Adani, one of the richest men in India and the world. Ex parte means that the court order was passed without hearing my version of events and circumstances.
This is the seventh defamation case against me filed by lawyers representing Adani Group companies from 2017 onwards that are currently pending in various courts of law, five in Gujarat, one in Rajasthan and the latest in New Delhi. All these cases are being contested.
I have been a journalist for almost 50 years, and have worked for numerous organisations across print, broadcast, and digital media. I am accredited by the Government of India’s Press Information Bureau (PIB) for more than 35 years. In addition, I am an author, publisher, a maker of documentary films and music videos and an educator. I have been a freelancer for around 15 years.
Along with me, four other independent journalists Ravi Nair, Abir Dasgupta, Ayaskant Das, and Ayush Joshi are respondents in the lawsuit. We are all independent journalists, who have, from time to time, collaborated and worked with one another to write and put together articles and videos.
I have noted media reports that allege that I have published “false and unverified reports, aligned with anti-India interests, and have been continuously targeting Adani Enterprises … disrupted [its] projects with ulterior motives.” The reports further allege that my “interference has led to the straining of the balance sheets of the Adani Group and delayed key investment plans.”
I wish to state with all the conviction I can muster that these allegations are false, unfounded, and scurrilous, and have been made without granting me a right of response. I stand by my reporting which is verified, factual, fair, balanced, unbiased, and conducted without fear or favour.
I have full faith in the judiciary of India and remain confident that all the articles that I have authored or co-authored and all the statements that I have made are not just truthful and accurate but always in the public interest. I intend to vigorously contest the defamation claims made against me by Adani Enterprises Limited and will place my arguments before the court at the earliest opportunity.
Thank you for your support and your solidarity.

The internationally reputed and New York-based multi-country NGO Human Rights Watch (HRW) has also now highlighted the issue of harassment, persecution, and illegal deportation of Bengali-speaking people of India by the BJP governments in various States.
The human rights organisation has released a report saying what we have been saying: Bengali-speaking Indians (of different castes and communities) are being arbitrarily abused and pushed out in a concerted manner by the BJP establishment.
Elaine Pearson, Asia Director at HRW, has on record said, BJP is fuelling discrimination by arbitrarily expelling Bengalis from the country, including Indian citizens. The authorities' claims that they are managing irregular migration are unconvincing.
HRW reports that this has been happening systematically in the BJP-ruled States of Assam, Gujarat, Maharashtra, Rajasthan, Uttar Pradesh, Odisha and Delhi, following a directive by the Ministry of Home, Government of India.
Shame!!
Now, even international human rights organisations have started taking note of the linguistic terrorism unleashed in India.
This must stop at once!!
