Simran, wife of Naik Gajendra Singh, has created history by becoming the first-ever Indian to win a Gold Medal in the 100m track event at the World Para Athletics Championships 2025 #WPAC2025, New Delhi.

She clinched Gold🥇 in 100m with an outstanding timing of 11.95s, while also bagging Silver🥈 in 200m with a timing of 24.46s and setting a new Asian Record —making #India & the #IndianArmy immensely proud.

Epitomising courage, resilience & determination, Simran truly embodies the spirit of turning disability into ability and inspiring countless others.

"This is a new beginning for all of us to move forward. These new laws ensure safety in every aspect. Earlier, there were issues we couldn’t speak about, but now there will be justice. While it wasn’t the case everywhere, in many sports there was politics or wrongdoing that never came to light. Now, laws have been made for everything. Earlier, such laws existed in some major countries, and now they have been passed in India too. For athletes, it’s like we have found a blessing. This is a very good step, and in the coming time, we will see its benefits, helping athletes progress even further."

• Bronze medal in Paralympics Games (Women’s 200m T12) held in Paris, France in 2024.

• Two silver medals in Asian Para Games (Women’s 100m & 200m T12) held in Hangzhou, China in 2023.

• Gold medal in World Championship (Women’s 200m T12) held in Kobe, Japan in 2024.
