A Sikh woman was followed home and raped in a religiously aggravated attack.
Rupert Lowe, and his supporters have been vocal about banning the Kirpan in the name of “public safety.”
Yet on this case, there has been no public statement, no condemnation, no response from them.
Public safety can’t be selective.
And if the logic is “ban anything that can be used as a weapon” then ban kitchen knives. Ban cars. Ban hammers. Ban bats. Ban ropes. Ban pens. Ban bricks. Ban fists.

LIVE: At Birmingham Crown Court today at the sentencing of racist rapist John Ashby, who in Oct 25 attacked and raped a young Sikh women in her own home in Walsall.

Our young sister was in court today and confronted her attacker with such courage and strength that it had an emotional and moving impact on all in court and the Judge!

In passing sentence of LIFE IMPRISONMENT to Ashby he sited the planning, religiously aggravated and violent nature of the attack and the invasion of her home to commit such a heinous attack!

A small sense of relief of justice for our sister, but nothing will erase the trauma of the abuse and life changing experience.
