Mange Kimambi just sued Meta, and she should.

She used Facebook, Instagram, and WhatsApp to show what Dictator Samia Suluhu s government did not want the world to see: killings, disappearances, and a stolen election. Millions were watching. Then the accounts vanished.

Meta calls it policy. She says the government asked, and Meta obeyed.

I believe her because we have lived a quieter version of the same thing.

Our pages have been restricted for nothing. One is no longer being distributed at all. Others would disappear for two days and then reappear with no explanation and no chance to appeal. It happened whenever we exposed what the Ruto government wanted hidden.

This is the pattern: When a government cannot reach you, it leans on Meta. Meta folds. The critic is silenced. The next video of a raid, a body, or a lie has nowhere to go.

Mange is taking them to court. Stand with her.

Meta should restore every account it killed to please a government, and stop doing the dirty work of regimes that fear their own people.
