@MinModulation What about a pre-op bisexual vegan disabled muslim black trans woman of Jewish parents with autism who is an illegal immigrant in a third world country, is homeless, and also lactose intolerant?
@tehsquish@NormalHuman9000 Pointing out actual facts makes you a nazi now. Sorry you found out this way that black people aren't impervious to oppressing people
@Spitflyer Under the same vein, trans POC americans are also opressors of third-world trans POCs but this is just meaningless discourse no one benefits from innit?
@SWANDIVE2004 If you still don't understand: should white people avoid systems that have been put in place to benefit from if the systems themselves have the potential of being unequal?, or can they but should they tell the loaner "you give loans to everyone regardless of race, right?"
@SWANDIVE2004 The loans example was to highlight racial disparities where there's no real fix except hoping the bank isn't prejudiced when choosing who gets a loan.
But how can the common white people help race be collapsed to stop being oppressors? And who is paying the reparations?
@evelynn4evalynn "you should worry about unfixable shit!"
Why?
"It's the right thing to do!"
Why?
"You can't only do things that make you happy!"
Why?
"You should step out of your comfort zone!"
Why?
"You will never grow as a person!"
Why would I wanna do that
"To feel truly happy!"
I feel happy
@SWANDIVE2004@dumbcoyote666 I didn't do the "heh, looks like they couldn't handle the smoke" thing bc I just thought you were sleeping or something. Anywho, seeing as you are unbanned now, what's your answer?
@SWANDIVE2004@dumbcoyote666 Okay, so what would that entail?, is just spreading the bullet point list of how white people benefit from their skin color enough to stop being an oppressor? Or does it also entail additional aspects like not asking bank loans or calling the police, among others?
@NoidedNomad Why are we rushing to say all 8 billion people in the world are oppressors of women, gay, black, disabled, Jewish, muslim, latino, trans, vegan, autistic, poor, or lactose intolerant people (etc) instead of just recognizing disparities exist and uplifting the disadvantaged
@NoidedNomad I actually think life would be less annoying if we understood oppression as something done out of malice or convenience at the expense of others and not an immutable label we assign to people for being born into an advantageous position
@VioletteVixi@hockeyinsiduru@RheaStormwind True. I'm not sure if this is the prevalent opinion, I doubt it, but I just had someone claim white trans people are opressors because they can be racist, which doesn't really make sense because everyone can be racist. A black person can hate Chinese people
@NoidedNomad That's factually wrong if you actually believe in races being a thing. It is indeed possible to believe white people are inferior or hate the group as a whole regardless of their views. Whether racism against white people is a relevant issue is the actual argument to be made
@jesusandtoriii@NoidedNomad Y'know, neither you nor the persin you are replying to's sides benefit from comments like this.
Your little joke (or serious statement) is giving white people a semblance valid grounds to argue they are victims of racism while also proving Cassie's argument wrong
@gnosiaenjoyer@dumbcoyote666@GordonCoke81553 This feeling of "I deserve to die because I'm probably evil" is just proof that you are worried about hurting people so you want to hurt yourself. I can relate to that feeling but you have to recognize it's not true
@gnosiaenjoyer@dumbcoyote666@GordonCoke81553 Sis, I'm sorry but
1: you probably have OCD, maybe
2: "Twitter freaks made me hate myself so much for a condition outside my control that I want to kill myself and an entire race to be eradicated" is not the own you think it is. You are worried about being evil bc you are kind
