#FORBESAFRICA30Under30
There is one sport that exudes enthusiasm and camaraderie in South Africa: soccer. At the helm of the current fandom, and a name chanted by many an Orlando Pirates fan, is Relebohile Mofokeng.
Even at the young age of 21, Mofokeng has outgrown the ‘one for the future’ tag and now stands as one of the Premier Soccer League’s headline attractions.
Hailing from Sharpeville in Vereeniging, Mofokeng quickly established himself as one of South Africa’s most exciting young football talents, not only for his technical ability but also for his confidence on the field.
After this World Cup, I would reserve that 3rd goalkeeper spot for an u20 goalkeeper in every international window.
Tylon Smith, Shandre Campbell, Kutlwano Lethlaku and Siviwe Magidigidi should be getting call-ups for the upcoming AFCON qualifiers.
Maseko was by far the best player in our attack but Footy Twitter and their agendas.😂 If you didn’t watch the game and you log in here you’d think there’s someone who was better than him in our attack
Mofokeng.
South Africa’s biggest talent.
Creative, dynamic, associative, technically gifted. He brings something different to the team.
Someone needs to explain to me why he has only played 45 minutes at this World Cup.
Ime Okon is going to have a very long Bafana Bafana career if he can remain injury free. I’ve seen some good signs from him today. Aerially, physically and technically!🤞🏾🇿🇦💚💛⚽️
People can bash them all they want, but this defence fought for South Africa tonight! 🇿🇦❤️
They put their bodies on the line, won crucial duels, blocked shots, & defended with pride. This back four stood tall when the country needed them most.
Modiba, Mbokazi, Okon & Mudau take a bow. What a performance gents ! 👏🔥
