Privileged to be asked by Taoiseach @MichealMartinTD to serve as Minister of State for European Affairs & Defence.
Ireland’s place is at the heart of Europe and I will work to deepen our European partnerships and advance Ireland’s interests in the EU.

Friends,
Working for the betterment of Meath East, our communities and our country is an incredible honour, second only to being a husband and a father. I want to continue that work and I am passionate about it.
During this Dáil term, I've had the privilege of serving as a minister, first during Brexit in European Affairs and then serving as Sports Minister and Gaeltacht minister. I am so proud to have driven a Sport for All agenda and to have delivered on massive funding for facilities.
We have made a lot of progress as a country and I believe we can do more. I am passionate to do more.
Once again, I am seeking the opportunity to serve. I ask Meath East voters respectfully to renew my mandate to serve you in the Dáil and advance your interests.
Go raibh maith agaibh.
€700 million invested in sports infrastructure over 5 years. From local pitches to stadiums, we’re seeing real results. Communities are maximising every euro, delivering top-class facilities. This isn’t just about bricks and mortar—it’s about creating spaces where talent thrives and communities can come together. More to come with @fiannafailparty!

Yesterday I launched "Sportuile - Driving Change Through Sport". The 5 year project, has secured €200,000 a year, from my Department through Sport Ireland to employ three Sports Development staff to work directly in the communities of Drogheda and East Meath. Meath and Louth County Councils will each provide an additional €60,000 in funding to support the work of SportUile in these communities. These additional resources will provide support to local sporting clubs and organisations in providing more opportunities for sporting and physical activities which will help develop safer and better communities. Sport Uile is the initiative of Louth and Meath Local Sports Partnerships.
Exciting times for @StColmcillesGAA! Thrilled to support this community-driven project in Piltown as we develop new pitches. Together, we’re investing in the future of local sports all around the county #MovingForwardTogether

We have enjoyed a phenomenal summer of sport, and autumn offers more good news with the largest-ever allocation of sports grants!
Communities across Ireland will hugely benefit from the new Community Sport Facilities Fund (previously SCEP) which will be announced this week!
I do appreciate the efforts of FAI staff to resolve the crazy situation of hundreds of girls being locked out of league football. But they are highly constrained by the structures of children's league football, particularly in the Greater Dublin Area. This needs to radically change to ensure this type of situation cannot happen. And solutions are needed urgently. @FAIreland@SFAIreland@DDSL_Official
Thank you to everyone for the ❤️, I’m truly blown away!
It’s a privilege to be the 1st person to talk to our athletes! They’re amazing, showcasing their talent, dedication & sport. Thank you to the crew behind the 🎥 that make it happen so you all can be part of it!
