Long term treatments like dialysis costs from $8-10 p/ treatment which can run $60-100 p/ patient (not incl transport) someone pays this, either sponsors/gov, or patients.

انطباعاتي عن التقدم في زيارتي السابعة لسورية بعد التحرير إيجابية بشكل عام. الأمن و الاستقرار مترسخين أكثر و الشوارع مليانة حتى بعد منتصف الليل في الأماكن العامة من رجال و نساء و أطفال و الأسواق مليئة و المطاعم كذلك.
خلال عام سبقت سورية 36 دولة في حرية الصحافة و التعبير و صارت أفضل من معظم الدول العربية في الصحافة و هذا ملحوظ جدا في طريقة معالجة الأمور في قنوات التلفزيون و السوشيال ميديا و الدولة تستجيب للنقد و تعدل القوانين المتسرعة و توقف العمل بالفرمانات التي تثير غضب المواطن. هذا الهدف من حرية الصحافة و التعبير و هو وضع ضوابط للدولة حتى تكون السياسات مع��رة عن رغبة الشعب ( او ما يسمى بالديمقراطية) . أحسست أنني أتنفس بعمق من دون كابوس جاثم على صدري في شوارع دمشق و حمص. إحساس جميل لم نتعود عليه خلال العقود الماضية. زمان الارهاب ولى و لن يعود من جديد و هذه أكبر نعمة يجب ان نتذكرها دائما و ان نتذكر التضحيات الكبيرة في ثورتنا المباركة من أجل كرامة الجميع . نعم شعرت بالكرامة من جديد في بلدي الحبيب .
دمشق القديمة فيها روح جديدة و كأن الحياة دبت فيها من جديد. الأموي حلو و نظيف و روحاني أكثر من قبل و أذانه المتميز يعيد للذاكرة أهمية دمشق التاريخية و تجديدها الدائم للتراث الراقي. هناك اعتناء ملحوظ بالنظافة و الأمن و السجاد و الساحة العامة و المنطقة حول المسجد و لكن موضوع الفصل في دخول النساء عن الرجال بمداخل بعيدة و ووضع الجنازير للفصل أمر غير منطقي أبدا و يجب ان تكون الأمور مثل مساجد تركبة او حتى الحرم المكي فالشعب السوري، مثله مثل الشعوب العربية، بشكل عام متعود على احترام المرأة و تقبل التنوع و الالتزام بآداب المساجد و لا يحتاج إ��ى جنازير .
المياه متوفرة و لا نتقطع كما كان الأمر سابقا و الكهرباء تأتي بشكل شبه متواصل و هي عصب الحياة و أساس الاقتصاد رغم التحفظ على ارتفاع فواتيرها و التأخر في معالجة شكاوي المواطنين و الرد عليهم .
مطاعم الربوة مليئة بالناس و بالمياه التي عادت إلى التدفق في نهر بردى التي غنت له فيروز قبل أن يجف من الظلم و القهر و الإهمال.
لأول مرة أرى طريق دمشق حمص أخضرا مزهرا بالربيع و موسم الخير رغم مروري فيه في الماضي مئات المرات و كأن أمطار الخير التي هطلت بغزارة في الشتاء تبشر بشي جميل و خير كثير قادم.
الشوارع منظمة أكثر و نظيفة أكثر و عمال النظافة منتشرون في كل مكان و كذلك شرطة المرور. الكل يقوم بدوره بابتسامة و من دون تجبر او قلة أدب او إهانة كما كان سابقا في عهد النظام الفاسد البائد.
الأكل طيب و متوفر و السلع متوفرة في الأسواق رغم ��لاء الأسعار. الله يعين الفقير فارتفاع المعاشات لا يوازي ارتفاع الأسعار و التضخم و لا بد من وقوع حلول لمساعدة الفقراء و ضبط الأسعار و ان تجعلها الدولة أولوية في بلد خارج من حرب طويلة دمرت الاقتصاد. الخطاب السياسي من الرئيس الشرع يحب ان يكون حاضرا و يوميا ليعالج الأمور التي يشكو منها الناس و يوضح سياسات الدولة و إلا يكتفي بخطابات مقتضبة في أوقات الأزمات و في زياراته الخارجية فالخطاب الداخلي للشعب من الرئيس و الشفافية في القرارت و السياسات يجب ان تكون أولوية حتى لا يكون هناك مجال للإشاعات و التأويلات و التململ فالناس في سورية بسطاء و صبورين و لكن يحتاجون إلى من ��شرح لهم ماذا يجري و يا حبذا لو درجنا بعادة المؤتمر الصحفي الأسبوعي أو حتى الشهري فترامب ليس أحسن مننا.
هناك حركة إعمار واضحة و لكنها بطيئة فلم تتدفق رؤوس الأموال بشكل كبير بعد و لكن هناك حركة واضحة من رجال أعمال و شركات بدأت تؤسّس لم��اريع جديدة ستخلق فرص عمل كبيرة و هذا يبشر بالخير فالذي سيبني سورية هم أهل بلدها من المغتربين و رجال الأعمال و لو ان كل منا بدأ بمشروع صغير لنهضت البلد و توفرت فرص العمل للشباب الذي لا زال يفكر بالهجرة. مما يعيق ذلك وضع البنوك التي لا زالت في العصر الحجري و لم تنتقل إلى وضعها ما قبل الحرب بعد رغم فك الحصار. لا يمكنك استخدام بطاقة الائتمان او حتى سحب النقود من حسابك في البنك. المعاملات الإدارية و الروتين و التعسيرات الإدارية لا زالت سائدة كما كان سابقا و الكل يقول لك ان الأمر يحتاج إلى قوانين جديدة و إصلاحات ادارية لا زالت في انتظار غودو و تفعيل مجلس الشعب الذي لم يجتمع بعد.
رغم ذلك التقدم ملحوظ و الأمور في تقدم مستمر و الخير لقدام. و كالعادة سألت سائق تكسي في دمشق عن سير الأمور فقال لي: يعني طبعا هناك بطء في التقدم و تنظيم الشوارع و زحمة غير عادية و انتشار للشحادين بس بتعرف على الأقل م�� في ظلم و ما في خوف متل النظام القديم. اي واحد فينه ينتقد من أصغر واحد إلى اكبر واحد و ما بخاف انو ينحط بالسجن.
أعتقد أنه كان يتحدث عن شيء فقدناه من زمان في سورية اسمه الحرية.

Tell us, @DuezenTekkal, what happens to Yazidi women who fall in love & decide to marry men who are not Yazidi — like a Muslim man, for example? Does her village put on a grand wedding for them, so do they respond quite a bit differently than that?

Or, what if a Yazidi woman has a child with someone who's not Yazidi? Tell us how their community responds? Are those Yazidi women & their children welcomed? Are they accepted, supported, or tolerated at all? Or are they outcast, & sometimes even killed?

Tell us about the rights & treatment of Yazidi women living in Iraq in their communities...
Are they treated as equals? Are their equal rights respected? 🤨

Do not stand there and denigrate Syrians who are Muslim, and fear monger about 'Islamism', and falsely claim you were "betrayed" (you were NOT), when the people you advocate for continue to maintain patriarchal & literally criminal customs & societal norms which are THAT oppressive & backwards — and you say nothing about any of that.

Al-Sharaa & Syrians are not your enemies, and they do NOT deserve your derision or denigration. You are wrong to attack & dehumanize them, and act as though they deserve less. And it was WRONG of Kurdish forces to occupy Arab territory in Syria (like Raqqa & Dier Ez-Zor, at a minimum) — and steal their resources, take all the revenue for themselves, while investing nothing in the reconstruction or betterment of their communities, and imprisoning people for expressing any dissent, or even having a photo of the Syrian flag on their phones! Thats fucking outrageous!

The criminality & corruption of Kurdish authorities in Syria has been terrible! They've behaved far worse than those they, and you, wrongly vilify & demonize & fear monger about.

You prove beyond doubt that you dont genuinely care about HUMAN RIGHTS — because your attitude & views reveal you only recognize the humanity of your own. (Just like every bigoted murderous monster does.) You're no better than those who harbor bigotry towards Yazidis & Kurds. Just the opposite side to the same coin.

You're correct as to the "ethnic gerrymandering" which produced it but the same is true for all the Europeans in Palestine today. The fact they're part of a forced demographic change doesn't change our current reality.

What's important is what you & Robin have mentioned, which is clarity, transparency & adherence to judicial/Intnl. norms in terms of habeas corpus & rights to representation, charge & trial. Otherwise it's more of the "same" under new management.

@hmadsyria Even in the US/EU you have regulations dictating what can be worn, esp for gov employees incl makeup. In this case I think it's more of a ban it all together rather than try to define what is "acceptable." But really seems an internal "HR" issue w/o the need for circular.
