@TBrown0987 I think that depends entirely on the definition of the word evil. When I say something is evil, I'm saying that it goes against or minimizes my values. If someone is using a different definition then we need to establish and agree on a definition or risk talking past each other.

@MathPig_ Present your definition then agree to argue both definitions separately. My goal in a discussion is to understand my opposition and get them to understand my position. Hence why both definitions need to be discussed seperately in order to be understood.

No, I don’t believe husbands should ever force themselves upon their wives. I have never taught this and never will. Women should freely be sexually available to their husbands. Husbands should be to their wives too. This is God’s will for us.

Yes, there are times when it’s impossible due to sickness, injury, or after childbirth. Not being in the mood isn’t one of them, and women tend to use this often. We obey God whether or not we’re in the mood. Being in the mood isn’t a biblical exception. Decide to be in the mood! Control your moods. You can, you know. Stop letting them control you.

What I shared here was a one time event. If it happened more than once, I would have given her different advice, but it wasn’t. Her husband wasn’t a physically abusive man. Rapists are. If your husband is physically abusive, seek a way of escape ASAP.

@Isethoriginal Your doubts are justified. So I'm asking, how do you know whether it would or wouldn't cost too much? How do you know which positions would be harder or easier to fill? I understand the perspective you're sharing, but I don't understand why I should agree with that perspective.

@Isethoriginal I also don't know if there are enough officers, body guards, security etc to protect all or most of the places that need protecting. Nor do I know if there are enough resources to properly train, equip, or fund this kind of failsafe. It's ideal, but I don't know if it's feasible.

@Isethoriginal If I can afford the kind of lock that would be effective. I'm just saying that I while I agree in theory that police protection/body guards could be an effective deterrent, I don't have any evidence that such a failsafe will be an effective deterrent in practice. (3/4)
