@Cloudwatch199 lol no. It undercuts our graduates with a populations desperate for any offer willing to accept rampant fraud and abhorrent conditions to retain US visa status
@DiggingInTheDi1 India rejects Starlink joining Iran, Syria, China, Russia, North Korea, Afghanistan, Belarus… why do we not have a travel ban against India yet?
@RealWaKhan I’m pretty sure every company that had PERM suspended had an Indian CEO. Not even just this year. It’s the first thing they do, fire Americans and start hiring H1Bs, H4s, F1 OPTs etc. en masse
This post from Pramila Jayapal defending Ilhan Omar is proof that she is having panic attacks. Let's look at @RepJayapal immigration records.
She married a US citizen in 1990 and divorced him the exact year she got citizenship in 2000. Was the marriage entered into in good faith, or was immigration status a primary motive?
She arrived on an F-1 visa for Georgetown and said her parents sent only their last $5,000. Full costs were far higher. Who funded the rest? Did she work without authorization?
In 1995 she left for India, stayed long enough to abandon her green card, then got it restored only after institutional strings were pulled at the U.S. Embassy. Citizenship clock reset to zero. She later ran for Congress anyway.
If Ilhan Omar can be raided over immigration paperwork, why not Jayapal?
No one is above the law.
@AlexSmith90014@drjoshcsimmons There’s a prevailing wage clause but a lot of employers pay exactly that prevailing wage not one cent more. It drags white collar Americans’ negotiating power down in the labor force when there’s 1.5 billion workforce ready and willing at any wage, however low!
@AlexSmith90014@drjoshcsimmons This is why everyone is eligible for it now: yoga guru, schoolteacher, gas station attendant.
The $60k wage is from 1998, it would be a $123k minimum today adjusted for inflation.
