They killed the church pastor, Rev. Emmanuel Na’allah and a member, Samaila Taro and abducted a woman during the attack.

There is a resounding shout of rejoicing in the earth, echoed by the heavens. Today, we express our profound gratitude to God as we mark yet another beautiful year of God’s goodness and faithfulness over us—a man who stands as a testament of grace and mercy.

Thank you, sir, for your heart of meekness—a heart which God, in His wisdom, has molded, to receive and house the mysteries of His divine life. Thank you for the diligence and reverence with which you steward these sacred truths, that all glory may continually return to God alone.

We thank you for showing us what it means to love God by loving His people. Your regard for the body of Christ is evident in word and deed. We are especially grateful for the way you esteem and uphold those whom God has placed as shepherds over His flock.

Thank you for loving so tenderly, our dear mother, Rev. Helen Oyegoke. Thank you for cherishing her, and carefully nurturing her in ways seen and unseen, fulfilling the law of the Lord in your union and bearing witness to a godly marriage.

It is our earnest prayer that the Lord who has raised you will keep you till the very end. May He bring you to a large place in the spirit. May His mercy and truth always preserve you, and may you continually be found in Him bearing His marks on your body, without shame and with joy.

May God continue to make you an embodiment of His divine ways. May His truth ever be your shield and buckler. May your alignment with heaven be increased in this new season over you. And may your life continually be a pleasing sacrifice to God, even unto Eternal Life. Amen.

Indeed, there are hidden riches in secret places, even treasures buried beyond what mortal man can see. They are right within the pages of scriptures, seemingly in plain sight but visible only to him, who will give himself to seeking.

Then along came a man who made the scriptures his daily musings and chose to dwell in those secret places no one wanted to tread.
While others chose to run with the light they got from scriptures, he stayed with it, carefully digging until the scroll was opened to him.

Now, we see clearly. Great understanding has visited us, and we can finally comprehend the words of eternal life because he chose to stay.

Thank God for a father, indeed.
Thank God for the womb that birth us. Thank God for the sacrifices that granted us access to the truth of God's word.

Today, we join the host of Heaven to celebrate a Man whose life is an epistle written on our hearts. We are reading it, imitating it, and growing into the understanding of the life you portray - the life of the Son of God, as each day passes.

We can call you our Father because you do not only give us life but also show us how to live it. Even though you saw ahead, you, in wisdom, did not race ahead to prove a point. You waited in patience and prayers until we could follow. You saw our future, and even though we were too young to understand and live it, you stood as a guard and guide until we could take these steps of faith after you.

Thank you for submitting to the Lord for a complete overhaul of your sight and allowing the Lord, in mercy, to weave depths of wisdom in you. Thank you for choosing the dark over the spotlight by being the steady lamp that guides others. You held the lines even when we did not know the divide between precepts and lines; you made us men of faith and purpose.

This advent of a new age is not a call to aging; it is a call to advancement, and we, your children, walk behind you in gratitude to God over you for every footprint you left in the Sand. We honour you, we love you, and we call you blessed
